The Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, opened in 2017, is dedicated to the life and work of the French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, who had a long connection to the city. Designed by Studio KO, the building combines modern architecture with Moroccan influences, featuring terracotta brickwork and geometric forms. The museum houses a permanent exhibition of Saint Laurent’s iconic designs, including garments, sketches, and photographs, as well as temporary exhibitions on fashion, art, and design. Visitors can also access a research library with thousands of volumes on fashion, botany, and Moroccan culture, and a 140-seat auditorium used for cultural programming. The museum is located next to the Jardin Majorelle, which Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé restored, making it convenient to visit both sites together.
