Golestan Palace is placed in the Tehran District in Tehran, Iran. The palace is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013 with the complex being one of the oldest in Tehran. Exemplifying architectural and artistic achievements of the Qajar era, the palace complex represents European motifs and styles merged into Persian arts. The palace complex contains beautifully adorned halls, the Pond House, a throne and the Edifice of the Sun, which is considered the most stunning structure of the Golestan Palace. Rare objects are kept in the Museum of Gifts with the Abyaz Palace housing one of the most interesting ethological museums in Iran.
