Built between 1599 and 1602, Si-o-se-pol is a stone double-deck arch bridge spanning across the Zayanderud River in Isfahan, Iran. With a total length of 297 metres and a width of 13,75 meters, the bridge is the longest among the Isfahan bridges. There are two levels of arches. The lower level of the bridge has 33 arches, while the upper level has two. There are also niches formed by the arches that are perfect for sitting and chatting while enjoying the view of the city. The bridge has a pedestrian path that is fenced with walls, protecting travellers from the wind and from falling into the water. The best time to visit the bridge is in the evening after the sun sets and the lights from the bridge reflect on the rivers waters.
