Situated in a game-rich region linking the Tarangire and Manyara national parks, this exclusive-use tented camp is the ideal setting for a family safari, in which adventures are shared and memories are made around the crackling campfire.
What sets the camp apart is its enchanting setting amid a forest of trees, which affords a feeling of true seclusion and immersion in nature. The camp comprises 4 tented rooms, including 1 family suite, a dining and leisure tent, a spa, a pool, and a boutique.
The elegant tents feature a vanity area and dressing room, as well as an en-suite bathroom complete with a flushing toilet and indoor and outdoor showers. There is also a portable air conditioner, coffee machine and bar fridge in each tent, as well as Wi-Fi.
The area is home to an abundance of wildlife and birdlife, including Big Tusker elephants and tree-climbing lions. And, with your private guide and vehicle, you can curate a personalised safari experience that exceeds all expectations.

Freedom and connection are the foundations of Forest Chem Chem where you will find 3 vintage-style tents and a family suite. Only available as a private camp, Forest Chem Chem is ideal for those travelling together looking for space to explore.
Each large, double tent offers a king-size bed (which can be converted to twins) and the double-sized family tent offers both a king and a twin bedroom. Each en-suite bathroom includes an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a vanity, toilet and dressing area.
Forest Chem Chem is the opportunity to experience a bush camp of your own. Here, in the heart of Tanzania, are some of the most densely populated wildlife areas the country has to offer. This is due to our proximity to not one, but two national parks, and the resurrection of an ancient migratory corridor through this land as a result of the conservation work by the Chem Chem Foundation.

Forest Chem Chem welcomes children from 6 years old (2019) and all ages n 2020.
The team will create unforgettable memories by learning bush skills from Maasai warriors: how to make a fire, use a bow and arrow, throw a spear. A visit to local schools and villages will expose them to different cultures. Children can build a recyclable soccer ball, follow wildlife tracks and decorate safari-themed cupcakes.

One of the well-trained field guides will lead you in a quest to recognise and track animal spoor. You will literally follow in their footsteps – often taking you within 15 meters of these majestic animals. Hear them, see them, smell them.

Visit one of the schools supported by the Chem Chem Association. Join in an impromptu soccer game with the children, share African songs and dance with them. You can even teach a math, geography or English lesson. Learn from them as they learn from you.
