Haute Cabrière Restaurant has recently undergone a glamorous makeover, including an interior redesign and menu update inspired by recently appointed Chef Ryan Shell, which continues the tradition of creating the "perfect marriage of food and wine".
Dressed in crisp, white linens and featuring a series of sparkling handcrafted chandeliers and colourful artworks, many of them by cellar master and Haute Cabrière founder Achim von Arnim, the restaurant is a stylish version of its former self.
With its extensive terrace looking out to the valley, the unique setting offers some of the best views of Franschhoek. Inside, the soaring arches and the view over the Pinot Noir Barrel Maturation Cellar uniquely define this magnificent space, creating a unique setting for memorable meals, functions and romantic weddings.
Despite the changes that have been implemented, of course much has remained at this iconic winery and eatery: The ever changing menu revolves around Haute Cabrière's wines and the range of Pierre Jourdan Cap Classiques, and a wine recommendation accompanies every dish. In order to allow guests to experience the full food and wine experience, Haute Cabrière Cellar Restaurant aims to offer guests a choice of either a full or half portion on their meal, encouraging sampling and tasting a variety of combinations.
