Built through the collaboration of French and Moroccan architects, the Grand Mosque of Dakar is a tribute to Algerian Berbers. Spread over thousands of square meters, the green-and-white tiled roof and minaret reaching more than 67 meters, the mosque is seen to be of a more sober design than that of its cousins, boasting Eastern archways, a cobbles interiors and vast inner courtyards open to the sky.
