The Bodrum Castle is located on a small rocky peninsula between two sheltered bays in Bodrum, on the southwest coast of Anatolia. This castle is unique due to its rich history, having been built by the Knights of St. John in the early 15th century and later serving various roles, including a garrison and a prison. Today, it houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, which is one of the most significant museums of its kind in the world. Visitors can explore the castle’s Gothic architecture, various towers, and numerous coats of arms, as well as enjoy exhibits showcasing underwater archaeological finds.
