At first glance, the vast, imposing desert landscapes of Etosha Heights might lead you to believe that there isn't much to see there. But (fortunately!) you would be wrong. On a game drive, you'll find elephants crashing through the trees, kudus and springboks scattered across the savannah, and herds of graceful antelopes never far away. And of course, such a bountiful array of ungulates means predators, too, with lions, cheetahs, and even leopards lurking in the shadows and hills.
If there is one animal that dominates memories of Etosha Heights, it is the white rhino. These endangered giants move between the private reserve and nearby Etosha National Park, ears twitching and tails flapping, leaving unmistakable footprints in the dust.
