Gir National Park is situated in India's westernmost state of Gujarat, nearby Junagadh. Public transport from Junagadh makes it convenient to reach the park. This national park is one of the few places in the world outside of Africa where visitors can spot lions roaming free in the wild. The flora of the park allows more than 200 species of birds to flourish here. In addition to deer, jackals, hyenas, and foxes, more than 40 species of reptiles and amphibians are found in the park.
