Hyena Pan is situated in a 200 000 hectare private conservancy, Khwai Private Reserve. It falls within the Okavango Delta World Heritage Site, and borders Moremi Game Reserve, the Khwai River and Chobe National Park.

Overlooking the Hyena Pan, is in a forest of Cathedral Mopane just 12km north of the Khwai River, the theatre of animals passing through will amaze and delight you, all visible from a choice of viewpoints in camp. With one of the few permanent water holes in this area thanks to solar powered boreholes, and also its location as an elephant route between Savuti in the Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, we see movement of elephant through the area constantly.

Our underground hide offers a spectacular new vantage point. Situated around Elephant’s Pool, about 20 minutes from camp, you have the chance to watch elephants, zebra, giraffe, wild dog and other wildlife as they come to cool off and rehydrate. This is a once in a lifetime experience and a photographers dream.

The camp is rustic yet comfortable, its charming simplicity making it the perfect getaway into the wilderness.
