You may have the opportunity to visit gourmet cottage industries such as a local Olivery, Figgery and the Arataki Honey Centre, where you will be able to enjoy some tastings and learn more about these industries. There is also a local cheese factory for you to be able to taste a range of cow and sheep cheeses. Hawke’s Bay, is also known as the fruit bowl of New Zealand and offers some wonderful food artisans to visit. Sample the fruit off the trees of a working orchard or enjoy a visit to the Strawberry Patch where you can pick your own if you choose.
