Enjoy a scenic flight over White Island, with aerial views of the active crater. Here you will be able to see the island’s active crater floor, viewing active steam vents 'fumaroles', hot streams, vibrant sulphur formations and the steaming crater from above. Afterwards, you will fly to another volcanic site and land on the summit of Mt Tarawera and enjoy informed commentary about the Mountain’s relatively recent eruptive history as well as spectacular views of the craters and domes formed by the 1886 eruption. The return flight is an opportunity to reflect on a lifetime experience whilst viewing even more of the Bay of Plenty’s spectacular scenery. *Please dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes. It is always a good idea to bring a light jacket, sunglasses, sunhat and sunscreen.
