Musanze Caves, located in the Northern Province of Rwanda near Volcanoes National Park, form a network of volcanic tunnels shaped by past lava flows. Visitors can take guided tours through the dark cave passages, walk along a two-kilometre tunnel, view local crafts, enjoy the scenery of the Virunga volcanoes, and take part in cultural experiences such as basket weaving, traditional hunting demonstrations, and local banana beer making. The caves extend for about two kilometres with many entrances and have served as shelter and ceremonial spaces, reflecting their cultural importance and their formation from volcanic activity in the region.
