Exotic Animal World in Klapmuts, Western Cape, South Africa, is a sanctuary in the Cape Winelands that provides care for a wide range of rescued exotic animals. Visitors can walk through enclosed tropical gardens, observe free-roaming birds and lemurs, explore reptile and aquarium displays, and attend scheduled animal demonstrations. Established in 1996 and formerly known as Butterfly World, the sanctuary now houses over 700 animals, most of which were surrendered or confiscated, and it promotes education and conservation while encouraging responsible attitudes towards keeping wildlife as pets.
