Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica is located on Route 36 near Cahuita on Costa Rica's southeast Caribbean coast. Through rescue, rehabilitation and when appropriate release, the organization improves the lives of sloths that have fallen victim to human encroachment. A visit to the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica offers tourists an opportunity to observe these complex mammals and learn about their behaviour, habitat and the perils they face in the wild. Tourists can also go behind the scene to the nursery and the slot clinic to see how the slots are cared for.
