Located in Luzibalule, Namibia, Lizauli Traditional Village offers a guided tour of the culture and history of the people in this part of the Caprivi. Built-in 1992, this community tourism product gives visitors a glimpse of life in a traditional village. Amongst the things they showcase visitors are how to stamp a millet as well as how grain is used and stored. Visitors can also see how blacksmiths forge metal tools and knives while an assistant operates the handmade bellows. Visitors also have the opportunity to interact with a traditional healer and experience traditional dancing. Apart from the activities, the village has various trinkets on sale that are sourced from the surrounding villages. The tour is conducted in the local language, Lozi, and then translated into English. School visits are also on offer.
