Bushbabies Monkey Sanctuary is a privately owned, non-subsidized sanctuary covering approximately seven hectares, situated alongside the elephant sanctuary in one of the many kloofs of the Magaliesberg mountain range. The sanctuary is one of only eight free-release primate sanctuaries globally. The primates are received based on public donations and supported by funding generated through guided tours and sales of the curios. Bushbabies Monkey Sanctuary recognizes the importance of community education. Not only are the tours highly informative, but they strive to create awareness toward the benefit of releasing primates into sanctuaries such as this one.
