Founded in 1525, the Christ Church College is the largest of Oxford colleges, and not only is it a college, it is also a cathedral. The college is situated in the heart of Oxford offering undergraduate teaching and graduate supervision, as well as distinguished research and teaching to over 600 students. The college has produced 13 British Prime ministers, and the author of Alice in Wonderland was also a student and later lecturer at the college. Filmmakers have been using the college as a backdrop for filming movies such as Harry Potter and The Golden Compass.
