The Third Mainland Bridge is the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland. It starts from Oworonshoki and ends at the Adeniji Adele Interchange on Lagos Island. Opened by President Ibrahim Babangida in 1990, the bridge measures approximately 11,8 km in length. The Third Mainland Bridge is an essential part of Lagos' daily commuting and records high traffic daily. It is also a major Lagos icon, offering views of Lagos and the surrounding area.
