Babylonstoren is cherished for its magnificent formal garden, inspired by the Company's Garden in Cape Town that supplied the 17th- and 18th-century spice fleets travelling between Europe and Asia with fresh fruit and vegetables. The garden boasts historic rose and fruit cultivars, a succulent collection, a kitchen garden, thousands of clivias, a healing garden, cycad collection and a Spice House where tropical plants thrive.
The tour of Babylonstoren’s formal fruit and vegetable garden starts at the Farm Shop at 10h00 daily.
During the week you can join their collections garden tour, starting at 11h30, also departing from the Farm Shop.
Booking is essential – please email enquiries@babylonstoren.com or phone +27 21 863 3852. Garden tours continue, come rain or shine!
Visitors pay an entrance fee to access Babylonstoren’s garden, which is the heart of the farm. An entry ticket costs R150 per adult per year. Children under 18 enter for free. On paying the entrance fee you can register for Babylonstoren Garden Membership with the free Babylonstoren app. This gives unlimited admission to Babylonstoren for 12 months, as well as many other useful features to enhance your visit.
