Vienna Prater or the Wiener Prater is a part of a large public park located in Vienna's 2nd district.
The Wiener Prater consists of the Hauptallee (the main alley), the Krieau and the Praterstadium(Ernst Happel Stadium) belong to the main area of the Wurstelprater.
Wurstelprater is the oldest amusement park in the world.
The park is mentioned in documents as early as 1162 and the area was donated to the people of Vienna in 1766 by emperor Joseph the ll, making it accessible to all.
The Wiener Prater and the Wurstelprater are open 24 hours each day 7 days a week.
