Situated in the naturally scenic state of Vermont, Woodstock is a historic farm town, which serves as the county seat of Windsor County. Historic buildings surrounding the central square of the town, known as the Green, include the pink sandstone Norman Williams Public Library built in 1880 and restored Georgian and Greek Revival homes. Other historical sites include the Billings Farm and Museum, a functioning dairy farm re-creating 19th-century farm life, and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, which contains a Victorian mansion and opportunities to wander beneath the shade of 400-year-old hemlock trees. Visitors can also look forward to seeing a working farm and sampling some free maple syrup and cheese at Sugarbush Farm.
