Throughout Namibia's Namib desert, desert elephants have adapted to the extreme temperatures and terrain. These highly endangered animals live along dry river beds and often travel long distances for water and food. Wildlife game drives in search of these rare creatures are a safari experience like no other, conducted by knowledgeable guides in open vehicles. When clients arrive and depart, the Desert Adapted Elephant and Nature Drive is either a morning or afternoon guided tour. Morning departure takes place at around 06:00, and afternoon departure is usually at 15:00. The tour is approximately 4 hours.
