Stretching across 20 000 ha of eastern Madagascar, Mantadia National Park is a place of great beauty and biodiversity. From the hotels, it takes 1 hour drive to a bumpy road to reach the entrance to the biggest park in the area. Mantadia is the primary forest with the highest endemicity rate in the area. But because it is big, it is not easy to spot animals. The park is also hilly, which requires a minimum physical condition to fully enjoy your walk. The region is swathed with thick tropical rain forests made of lush ferns, tangled lianas, hundreds of orchid species and myriad other jungle flora and teeming with a diverse array of endemic wildlife. Visitors can enjoy spectacular hikes and discover hidden waterfalls & rare orchids.
