Named in honor of a visit by Prince Philip in the mid-1960s, these famous “steps,” comprised of slabs and rocks with a man-made handrail, make it possible to climb to the top of an 82-foot (25-meter) cliff. Located along the southern peninsula of Genovesa Island, opposite the beach at Darwin BayPrince Philip’s Steps are accessible via panga. This is one of the steepest climbs and a rather challenging experience for visitors—but very worthwhile!
