The lake itself sits at an elevation of 1,884 metres, making it the highest of the Rift Valley lakes and one of the few freshwater lakes in the region.

How to Get There

By Road: Lake Naivasha is located about 90 km from Nairobi, a 1.5–2 hour drive on good tarmac roads along the A104 highway.

By Air: Daily charter flights from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) land at nearby Naivasha Airstrip.
