The Hamelin Pool stromatolites are located in Shark Bay about 30 minutes’ drive from Denham in Western Australia. This is one of only two places on earth where living marine stromatolites exist, and these are considered to be the best example of their kind found in the world. A purpose-built jetty allows visitors to look at the stromatolites below without causing damage to them.
