The Gunlom Falls are located on Waterfall Creek within the Kakadu National Park in Australia’s Northern Territory. The picturesque falls cascade into a crystal clear plunge pool which is great for swimming and is surrounded by shady gum trees and grassy picnic spots. A steep 15-minute climb to the top of the falls is rewarded with panoramic views of the southernmost parts of the park and climbers can cool in the refreshing waters of the rock pools at the top of the falls.

The falls can be reached via a gravel road which is best navigated with a 4WD vehicle and this popular attraction is often included in adventure tours offered by tour operators that visit the area. For those wishing to stay overnight, there is a campground with good facilities nearby which is very popular during the holiday season.
