The mystic Quiver Tree Forest, Upper Karoo rests between Nieuwoudtville and Loeriesfontein in the Northern Cape Province. It is also bordered the wondrous wildflower reserve of Gannabos Protected Area. Quiver Trees form part of the aloe family, and due to their beautiful and full character, they are reminiscent of a wilder Africa. They are identifiable by their branches, which split into smaller sections, and by their hardy succulent leaves that bear the heat. Visiting the area is said to bring a sense of solitude and tranquillity.
