Alambi Reserve, located in the Tandayapa Valley within Ecuador’s Andean Chocó cloud forest, is a private nature reserve surrounded by primary forest and rich wildlife. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, hiking along forest trails, observing hummingbirds in the garden, photographing native species, and exploring waterfalls within the reserve. Established as a family conservation project, the reserve protects more than 120 hectares of land, with over ninety per cent remaining untouched primary forest. The area is recognised for its biodiversity, including numerous endemic species and more than 250 recorded bird species, making it an important destination for ecotourism and conservation near Quito.
