Constructed in 1904, during the French colonial era, the Royal Palace Museum is located in the Luang Prabang province of Laos. The site was once the royal residence of King Sisavang Vong and his family. The building is a blend of French and Lao traditional style and was converted to a national museum after the revolution in 1975. The museum boasts collections of Budha statues, American cars used by the royal family, friendship flags from Vietnam, China and other countries, as well as other diplomatic gifts. The museum has three wings including the front wing, the throne hall, and the back wing.
