Located in Bergen, Norway, Bryggen is a collection of commercial buildings lined up on the eastern part of the VĂ¥gen harbour. Bryggen has been a World Heritage Site since 1979. The area is home to restaurants, pubs, museums, and shops as well as a visitor centre. At the visitor centre, visitors can view exhibits of traditional tools used in the construction of Bryggen and shop for literature on cultural heritage as well as various Bryggen souvenirs.
