Segera is a big-five, wildly luxurious, private retreat for up to 38 guests in 10 villas with extraordinary views, wildlife and experiences in the heart of Kenya.
Segera's four Garden Villas all rest on stilts above the cactus boma wall, with thatched roofs and bleached wooden decks that look out across the plains with wildlife roaming past. The garden villas are set in landscaped botanical gardens centred around a vast swimming pool. The luxurious interiors have huge stone showers, extra large beds with billowing mosquito nets, and generous day beds that can be turned into romantic overnight sleep-outs. Every villa has en-suite bathrooms and a full range of deluxe amenities, an in-room bar and you’ll find WIFI throughout. Your villa is looked after by a dedicated villa attendant who will take care of your personal preferences and will help you to get the most out of your visit.
Be welcomed by studded Zanzabari doors that lead into a luxurious living space that links four equally elegant, vast en-suite primary suites together. The impressive double-volume atrium has two lounges, a sculptural deli counter and dining conservatory that opens out to a sun-kissed private pool with landscaped gardens. This generous house is perfect for friends travelling together or multi-generational family holidays. Delightful views of grazing wildlife from the patio and bedroom balconies add to the intimate home-away-from-home safari experience.
Segera's symmetrical Family Villa has four spacious bedrooms over two floors with a shared lounge on each level. The upper floor leads out to a deck and pool that gazes out across the savannahs and onto a waterhole and salt lick that magnetises wildlife.
Each bedroom has elegant en-suite bathrooms and can be set as twins or king beds making it perfect for multi-generational holidays. The ground floor bedrooms open onto the landscaped botanical gardens that are a quick stroll to the lodge's central saltwater swimming pool and the impressive sculpture gardens.
The Segera Farmhouse is your perfect family safari home, with its stunning sunrise views of Mount Kenya, beautiful interiors, huge lawned garden, private pool, multiple lounging and dining areas, as well as a fully equipped private kitchen. The new Farmhouse was thoughtfully renovated from Segera's original ranch house, dating back to the 1940s, into a beautiful contemporary house - capturing old-world elegance with stylish, modern comfort. Enjoy the relaxed vibes of being at home with your friends and family, while enjoying the endless views across the vast African plains.
The Greenhouse refracts with light through multiple glass windows and flickers with reflections from the surrounding gardens. Potted tropical plants and succulents enhance the feeling of the outdoors coming indoors in the large shared dining and lounging area. Soft linens, layered bedding and green shades create a botanically inspired two-bedroomed house with a double volume shared dining table and lounge. Both bedrooms have elegant en-suite bathrooms and dappled views out towards the wild foothills beneath Mount Kenya. In the morning the whole house is flooded with copper-coloured light as the sun-rises over this wild, untamed landscape. This villa is perfect for a family or two couples travelling together.
This two-bedroomed, two-building villa is perfect for honeymooners or families wanting absolute privacy—both rooms are generously sized with lovely en-suite bathrooms. They’re built on stilts connected by suspended walkways and both hover above the open-air living and dining space alongside a beautiful private pool. One octagonally shaped bedroom and one square bedroom give multiple angles of views across the river, the plains and Mount Kenya beyond. The waterhole and salt-lick in front of the villa make it a wonderful place to sit and watch wildlife from your verandah.
Right in the heart of the lush Segera gardens and surrounded by its own private garden of bougainvillea tendrils, cactus and verdant growth, Garden House has a secluded, romantic feel. Huge windows and glassed doors allow the garden views to spill into the house and the main bedroom’s Juliette balcony opens into the foliage. This two-bedroomed, double-storey house also has a beautiful kitchen, double volume lounge and an incredible outdoor stone bath. It’s just a short stroll to the refreshing saltwater swimming pool and day lounge. You’ll also find a double day-bed that can be set up for beautiful sleep-outs in the warm Kenyan air.

Segera's exclusively private 50,000 acres are home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and buffalo as well as endangered species such as reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Lelwel's Hartebeest, and African wild dog. You'll seek out these species along with classic plains game and up to 150 bird species on daily game drives in open-sided safari vehicles with talented guides.

Sleep like a bird, in a nest, in the wild. This unique collaboration between Segera and Nay Palad is a raised ‘nest’ in the wild with one indoor en-suite bedroom and a beautiful outdoor shower. There is a bed inside as well as a bed on the rooftop, so guests can choose to sleep inside or under the stars. You’ll find a picnic-style dinner and candle-lit drinks set up to enjoy while the night draws in. In the morning, breakfast will be delivered to your doorstep so you can prolong the feeling of being
in romantic seclusion. You’ll love the drama of the skies and stars, the sounds of the bush and the security of being elevated above the activity. This is true luxury in the wild.

Segera's success story in conserving its precious ecosystem and protecting the 50,000 acre wildlife sanctuary is largely built on the collective effort of our Rangers and anti-poaching dog unit. The beautiful bloodhounds attached to the anti-poaching unit bring so much joy to everyone who meets them. Guests get to join in on daily activities, like their daily tracking and training and spa days on Sundays.

Segera is home to impressive collections of contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora—known as the Zeitz Collection. In the Stables and Paddock House you can view water-colours, video installations, prints, etchings and paintings from artists who are shaping the modern African art collections of our time.
