Located in eastern Cambodia, bordering Vietnam to the south, the province of Kratie is home to some excellent cultural sights and unique natural attractions. The capital city, also called Kratie, makes the perfect base for exploring the province’s major architectural attractions, such as the magnificently spired Wat Sray Sahn Tah Rah Boh and the nearby Vihear Sarsar Mouy Rouy, a brightly coloured ‘Temple of 100 Columns’. From Kratie, most visitors head to the nearby village of Kampi, located on the Mekong River, where you can enjoy Irrawaddy river dolphin watching and exotic birdlife. On the road to Kampi, there is also Phnom Sombok, a lovely hill with an interesting temple and some spectacularly scenic views of the Mekong River and its surrounds.
