Life in and around the Victoria and Alfred basins is busy. On this trip you'll come across from resident seals to international ships visiting our shores. Hop on our Harbour Cruise to see the city in a new light and learn more about Cape Town's proud nautical history. The Harbour Cruise departs from and returns to the jetty outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront, and runs regularly. The total duration of the cruise is approx 25 minutes. There's no hopping off but during the trip you’ll see several key attractions, including the SAS Somerset (the only remaining boom defence vessel left in the world) and the southern hemisphere's largest synchrolift and only drawbridge (Bascule Bridge). You'll also pass the Nelson Mandela Gateway, Chavonnes Battery Museum and the Clock Tower. We recommend that you enjoy the cruise with family, friends or someone special. And if you're up for a little more adventure, hop on a red bus outside our V&A Waterfront tour office.
