Our beautiful Plett Accommodation is a historic and charming colonial-style Safari Lodge that was built in early 1800 by Baron Joachim von Plettenberg, an early South African pioneer and conservationist, who used the original, smaller Lodge as his base to explore the then untamed African landscapes.

Built from local stone, the Safari Lodge has lost little of its original ‘out of Africa’ feel and has spectacular views across rolling lawns where zebra and antelope room freely, to the indigenous forests and majestic Tsitsikamma mountains in the distance.

There are six double suites and four family rooms. The plett accommodation & Safari Lodge suites are comfortable, with high ceilings and original polished cement or yellowwood floors. The décor is eclectic and colourful with antiques and chandeliers mixing effortlessly with the leather couches, shabby chic sofas, kilim floor rugs and animal skins.

Our romantic, comfortable four poster beds are draped with mosquito nets and dressed with cotton linen and chenille or faux-fur throws. There are extra warm blankets for chilly nights.
Our Game drive… well they are a once in a lifetime experience, GRAB that camera now and Book Online Today – PS We Love having Day Visitors as well !!!

Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve is 20km from the jewel of the Garden Route, Plettenberg Bay.
The closest airport is George which is 1 hour away. Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve, only 4 hours’ drive from Cape Town, is situated in the mountains and the vegetation is mostly savannah.

Using our Facilities as your holiday 'base camp' situates you in the best possible location for activities varying from chill out excursions to adrenalin pumping sports...

Most rooms are open plan with a sexy free standing bath and the usual amenities associated with ablutions. There are plenty mirrors for the lovely ladies to admire themselves in.

The snug 4 post bed makes for amazing nights rest and long morning snuggles before arguing who is making the yummy morning coffee for the two of you.

Our family units are huge, with ample cloths storage space, views that dreams are made of and open areas for the little ones to go manic in. The decks overlook the mountains or indigenous bush, and are teaming with bird life. The adults get to sleep in double beds, while the children have their own beds.

If you book a room with a fireplace we strongly recommend you bring along those marshmallows and Mari-biscuits for the evening ‘smors’ that the whole family can enjoy and chat about.
