Our Lady of the Angels Basilica is a Catholic temple located in the city of Cartago, Costa Rica. A hermitage was built on this site, which later replaced temples of greater strength and capacity, notably the one built in 1675. The earthquake of 4 of maypole of 1910 ruined the temple, which was replaced a few years later by another temple in Byzantine style. The current basilica was built in 1912 and serves as the main center of religious pilgrimage in Costa Rica.
