Tumbas Reales Museum conserves all the archaeological material found in Sipan and includes a reconstruction of the bejewelled tomb of the Lord of Sipan and other warriors. The tombs found in 1987 are the richest series of tombs found anywhere in the world for a century. The new purpose built 3 storey pyramid-like Museum is the result of years of effort on the part of the archaeological team led by Walter Alva and is an attraction in its own right.
