Inti Punku, also referred to as the Sun Gate is a fascinating archaeological site located along the Inca trail in the region of Cusco in Peru. The fortress feature steps which are believed to be the main entrance to the sanctuary. There is also a gate that was once used as a viewpoint to control people passing through the refuge. Once at the top, views of the sunrise over Machu Picchu, the entire mountains, and the surrounding ruins are amazing. Visitors can look forward to excellent hiking and photo opportunities.
