A beautiful natural attraction in Cuba, Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve is found in the Escambray Mountains. Topes de Collantes is also the name of the nature reserve’s third highest peak, and there is a settlement as well as a visitor center at the peak, all with the same name.

The reserves features spectacular canyons, caves, waterfalls, rivers and natural pools, surrounded by splendid mountain hills. It is home to orchids, magnolias, begonias, many species of ferns and banana trees, as well as Cuba’s national flower, the Mariposa. Cuba’s national bird, the Tocororo and hummingbirds also live in the area.
