Cueva del Indio is located north of Viñales in the Viñales Valley of Pinar del Río, Cuba. Visitors can walk along illuminated cave paths and take a guided boat ride along an underground river that flows through the cavern. The cave forms part of an extensive cave system and was rediscovered in 1920, with sections accessible by both foot and motorboat along the San Vicente River. Evidence indicates it was once used by indigenous inhabitants, reflecting its geological, cultural, and historical importance within one of Cuba’s most significant natural landscapes.
