Mahali Mzuri is a tented camp developed by Sir Richard Branson as part of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. The 12 tented suites are unique and the camp sleeps a maximum of 24 guests at any time. The tents are perched on a ridge looking over the valley with a distinctive design adapted to the local climate and terrain. The camp offers luxury and a laid-back atmosphere, with all inclusive meals and drinks, including premium brands. The open bar "help yourself" philosophy creates a welcome, friendly, home from home atmosphere. Expert Maasai guides take guests on twice daily 4x4 game viewing in the conservancy, and can arrange to visit the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Each tent at Mahali Mzuri includes a spacious seating area, en suite bathroom and large deck to maximise those amazing views over the plains. All our tents cover approximately 106 square metres including the external decks.
10 of the 12 Tented Suites can be configured as twin or king beds, sleeping a maximum of two guests.
All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, sunscreen, insect repellent, torches, extra blankets, ponchos, bathrobes, slippers, a complimentary mini-bar, snacks, tea and coffee making facilities and hot water bottles. Power sockets in Kenya use the British standard 3-pin arrangement so guests visiting from other parts of the world will need an adaptor which we will provide in your room. Please note that the current in Kenya is 240 volts.

What better way to relax than at Nasaro - which literally means 'refuge' or 'relaxation' in Maa - the local language.
Nasaro is located down near the valley floor and provides a private, intimate setting in which to be pampered. We use a range of products from Africology ethical skincare products to capture the rejuvenating and healing essences of Africa.
A whole range of treatments are available, from facials to massages to those essential grooming rituals.
While you’re staying at Mahali Mzuri you’re welcome to visit one of the Maasai villages in the local area to get a flavour for daily life in the Mara. The village is only 10 minutes’ drive from Mahali Mzuri and the best times to go are first thing in the morning when you can help milk the cattle or in the evening when the cattle, goats and sheep are being herded back to their enclosures for the night.
The local school is a further 5-minute drive from the village. This is where the Maasai children aged 3-15 years attend. You are welcome to visit the school, please let your guide know in advanced of your trip. Your Guides at Mahali Mzuri will take you on a tour and introduce you to their families while explaining some of the cultures and traditions.
Our chefs have developed numerous pan-African dishes influenced by a variety of cultures, flavours and spices. Whether dining under the African sky in the open bush, on a deck or in the dining tent, our menus and meals promise to be exciting, social and inspirational.
From bush BBQs to champagne picnics to sundowners, our team will treat you to a wide selection of African and international menus. All our breads and pastries are baked daily and we also cater for private meals and special occasions. We can cater for those with special dietary needs so just let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to have exactly what you need.
We use locally-sourced produce, flavours and spices to deliver something truly memorable. All meals and drinks including alcohol and our finest champagne are included in your stay and
guests are welcome to help themselves to whatever they want at any time.
At breakfast, a continental buffet will be served with hot dishes available à la carte, and guests typically share tables – it’s a great time to chat with your fellow travellers about the wildlife you saw
earlier that morning. Lunch is normally served on the main deck with individual tables and guests can order from the à la carte menu. Dinner could be around a large communal table out in the
bush or if preferred, somewhere private just for two!
