The Cathedral of Quito is a Catholic church situated in the heart of Quito, dating back to 1535. The cathedral features ornate naves, wooden carvings, various artworks, a baroque altarpiece with a painted canvas representing Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin Mary, the body of the Holy Child Urcisino, and chapels. The cathedral also features a tubular organ of German origin that consists of over 1000 pieces based on shanks.
