Tagus Cove, located on the western coast of Isabela Island, is a deep-water bay facing Fernandina Island. It has served as a natural anchorage since the 1800s, with graffiti from whalers and buccaneers still visible on its cliffs. A short trail leads to Darwin Lake, a saltwater body within a volcanic cone. Visitors may encounter Galápagos Hawks, Vermilion Flycatchers, and Darwin’s Finches, while shoreline excursions offer sightings of penguins, sea lions, and flightless cormorants.
