Vergenoegd estate enjoys a unique position between the Helderberg Mountains and False Bay. It’s at this meeting point that the vineyards are cooled by fresh ocean breezes, infusing the fertile soil with a maritime character, and allowing the grapes to ripen more slowly. This distinctive terroir is one of the aspects that lend the wines their extraordinary taste. Known for its group of foraging Indian Runner ducks, the estate offers wine tastings and cellar tours as well as picnics. There is also a deli, abundantly stocked with a delicious range of products including cheese, cured meats, olives and spreads, fresh bread baked on-premises, wholesome salads and sandwiches made by our farm kitchen as well as a list of hot menu items lovingly prepared by Chef and her team.
