Since its beginning in 2007 Shanga has been a favourite destination in Arusha, Tanzania. Shanga is a creative social enterprise empowering people with disabilities. Safe and supportive employment opportunities are provided for people with disabilities with a particular focus on those with a passion and ambition to learn and achieve success.

Free tours and activities are available when visiting our interactive workshop which is situated in the grounds of Arusha Coffee Lodge by Elewana. Visiting provides the chance to meet our inspirational staff, see their amazing skills and how we incorporate recycled items into many of our beautiful products. Our weaving, tailoring, beading, tinga tinga painting, glass blowing, bead making and metal & woodworking departments produce a wide selection of unique, high quality and handmade homeware, glass and jewelry products.
