SS Dunraven Wreck, located at Sha’ab Mahmoud near Ras Mohammed in Egypt’s Red Sea, is a historic shipwreck resting beside a coral reef. Visitors can scuba dive around the wreck, swim through openings in the hull, examine boilers and metal remains, and explore the surrounding reef where a variety of marine life can be observed. The ship, built in 1873 and wrecked in 1876, lies upside down in shallow water and was rediscovered in 1977, and it is known for its broken structure, accessible sections, and the fish that gather around the hull and nearby coral reef.
