Ras Mohammed National Park has played an important role in the economic development on South Sinai. Tourists are attracted to this coastal area for its natural beauty, most significantly the internationally recognised coral reef ecosystems with their diversity of marine plants and animals, which create explosions of colour against the clear warm water, as well as the adjacent desert. The park’s attractions include Eel Garden, the Main Beach, the Old Quay, Marsa Bareika and the Mangrove Channel. The Ras Mohammed National Park offers excellent snorkelling and diving amidst amazing reefs.
