The spectacular Ellery Creek Big Hole is an outback waterhole in the West MacDonnell Ranges,

in Australia’s Northern Territory. Thousands of years of massive floods have carved out the waterhole where Ellery Creek cuts through the ranges leaving a spectacular gorge. It is a popular place for swimming, camping and hiking, located west of Alice Springs. The Ellery Creek Big Hole is also an internationally significant geological site.
