Hafenmuseum Hamburg is located in the free port on the last ensemble of quay sheds. The structure of the quay was built 100 years ago and once ensured the optimal handling of goods between the ship moored to the quay and the traffic on land. The museum's collection includes examples of material culture from cargo handling, shipping, shipbuilding and marine technology. A visit to the museum offers tourists the opportunity to learn about the history of the port and what it was like in its bygone era.
